Although using the same tools and approaches, standard project management is not contextualised in a way that is specific to healthcare settings. With an emphasis on secure patient records, research ethics, the rigour required for human study and the need to provide proven methods that work in the sector, the Institute was formed to share approaches and methods that are common to its membership who all work in healthcare settings.
The Institute recognises the high costs and many challenges in providing health services in all countries and it looks at using the insights from skilled people working at all levels in the industry to get better results for heathcare environments worldwide.
